March 12, 2020

Dear Class of 2020

The directive from the University of Toronto for the management of COVID-19 is ever changing and we are doing out best to keep you posted on new developments.

The following message has been posted on the Faculty of Medicine Website regarding COVID-19: https://medicine.utoronto.ca/restricted-duties-and-local-placements-faculty-medicine-clinical-learners

At this point we are supporting you all to attend your clinical internships beginning on Monday, March 30, 2020 and ask you to monitor yourself appropriately.

Please do not put yourself and others at risk; if you experience even mild upper respiratory symptoms, do not present in the clinical learning environment. Contact Sharon Switzer-McIntyre (s.switzer.mcintyre@utoronto.ca) and your Clinical Instructor as soon as possible.

In preparation for your clinical internships and to ensure you are utilizing best practice please review the following resources.

The following module teaches how to perform proper hand hygiene in order to decrease the spread of infections in a healthcare environment. Created May 2013; Content approved by TAHSNe.
