Black Physicians' Association of Ontario Annual Health Symposium

This year's Black Physicians' Association of Ontario Health Symposium will feature a keynote by Lisa A.Robinson, MD, FRCP (C), FASN. 

Dr. Lisa Robinson is a Professor of Paediatrics, University of Toronto and the Head of Nephrology at the Hospital for Sick Children. She also serves as Associate Dean, Inclusion and Diversity at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto. Dr. Robinson's presentation will reflect on the importance of inclusion and diversity in academic medicine and biomedical science and discuss the U of T Faculty of Medicine's approach to creating diverse and inclusive teams. 

Other presentations will include: 

- Review of glycemic management in Patients with Type 2 Diabetes
- Experience of racialized mothers of children with development disabilities
- Trainee presentation on Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS) 
- Canadian Medical Protective Association presentation on collaborative care
