University of Toronto & University of Manchester Joint Workshop on Collaborative Opportunities in Health

This University of Toronto (U of T) and University of Manchester (UoM) workshop will explore collaborative opportunities in three areas: cardiovascular & metabolic sciences; nursing; and infectious disease, allergy, & immunity.

The workshop will begin with brief presentations by participants of their current research and conclude with an opportunity to develop a joint research proposal for the upcoming UoM-U of T call for joint research proposals.

The workshop will be led by Professor Keith Brennan, Associate Dean for Internationalisation in the Faculty of Biology, Medicine & Health at UoM and Professor Alex Mihailidis, Associate Vice-President, International Partnerships at U of T.

The 2021 UoM-U of T Call for Joint Research Proposals, to which workshop participants are encouraged to apply, will be launched on December 8, 2020 with a closing date of January 18, 2021.

9:30am – 10:30am – Research presentations around the following themes:

Cardiovascular & Metabolic Sciences
Nursing
Infectious diseases, allergy & immunity
10:30am – 10:45am– Overview of UoM-U of T Joint Call for Collaborative Research Projects
10:45am – 12:00pm – Proposal development in breakout groups
