The days of medical researchers working alone are gone. The future belongs to those who can team with others to solve the complex health challenges we face today. Obesity in children, dementia in adults, cancers that spare neither young nor old: these are some of the issues we must confront with new treatments and prevention -- which can only come through the work of collaborative teams. The University of Toronto Faculty of Medicine is home to one of the most diverse concentrations of experts anywhere in the world, and as a result, we have a tremendous opportunity to define the future of health. But our success hinges on how well we work together within the Faculty, across the University and our affiliated hospitals and research institutes, and with institutions around the world.
