Let's Talk About Islamophobia in Medicine: An Open Forum

Learners, staff members, faculty members at the Faculty of Medicine, and members of the University of Toronto community are cordially invited to an open forum taking place on April 6, 2017 to have a conversation about the issue of Islamophobia in Medicine, and how we can work together to create a more inclusive, respectful, and accepting community for all.

The forum will provide the opportunity for the community to hear from panelists sharing personal experiences and strategies to respond to experiences of discrimination and marginalization and to share ways in which we can all better support our fellow colleagues and community members.

All participants in the forum will have the opportunity to dialogue and share personal experiences and stories.

Speakers at the event will include:

Mr. Amjad Tarsin, Muslim Chaplain
Dr. Fariha Khan, Physician
